ANTOINE Semenyo will be available for Cherries this weekend, according to boss Andoni Iraola.

The Ghanaian international is enjoying a strong first full-season in the Premier League, Cherries’ second highest goalscorer in the league with seven goals.

However, a calf issue forced the striker off away at Luton Town, subsequently ruling out the attacker for the clash with Manchester United last time out.

Cherries head to Aston Villa this weekend, visiting Villa Park on Sunday (3pm).

Asked if he was expecting many returnees from injury for the game, Iraola shared: “We will recover Antoine Semenyo; he will be part of the squad if everything goes well tomorrow in training.

“That’s it. We are losing Sini from the other day. He is obviously injured and we don’t expect any more changes.

“Some are getting closer but I don’t expect them for the Villa game, no.”

Asked if he expected the Colombian winger back before the end of the season, Iraola continued: “It’s going to be difficult.

“It’s a strain so it’s going to be really tight, I don’t know if he will be recovered to play the last game but it’s going to be difficult because the normal time is three or four weeks.

“These kinds of injuries take time and I’m sure he will try; he will be ready for his national team if they consider him but it’s going to be difficult for him to play this season.

“I’m more optimistic with Marcus because the injury was before, with one week it gives you some more chance but definitely he’s not going to be involved this week.

“We will try to play with him but it also has to be the finals games of the season.”

Heading into the weekend, Cherries sit 13th in the Premier League table with 42 points from 32 games.
