RYAN Christie missed this afternoon’s victory over Everton due to a knee injury, boss Andoni Iraola confirmed.

Christie, who had featured in every Cherries fixture under the Spaniard since he arrived last summer, was forced to sit out against the Toffees.

The 29-year-old picked up a knock on international duty, during Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat with Scotland against Northern Ireland.

Asked for an update on Christie’s injury, head coach Iraola told the Daily Echo: “He has come injured from the national team.

“Him and Sini (Luis Sinisterra), two important players for us that we lost before the game.

“Ryan has a cut on his knee and it is swollen.

“I think he fell in the stands or playing or something like that. He finished with a cut just below the knee.

“It has been bothering him. I don’t know if tomorrow it feels better.

“It will be improving, but it is difficult, because in three days we are here again playing. I see it difficult for the next game.”

Cherries, who brought Tyler Adams into the team to replace Christie, host Crystal Palace on Tuesday (7.45pm).
