CHERRIES goal hero Antoine Semenyo revealed he “head was flying” when his side entered the break 3-0 down at home to Luton Town, such was his frustration.

First-half goals from Tahith Chong, Chiedozie Ogbene and Ross Barkley had given Luton a shock 3-0 lead at Vitality Stadium.

But there was plenty more surprises – and goals – in store on Wednesday night, Dominic Solanke pulling one back before Illia Zabarnyi further reduced the deficit.

Semenyo was then on hand to turn the game completely on its head with a brace.

The striker told afcb.co.uk: “My head was flying, I was so frustrated – I felt like we’d dominated the ball quite a bit in that first half and didn’t really make anything of it.

“Obviously coming in 3-0 down, any player is going to be frustrated, but the manager was cool, calm and collected and he just said we have to be brave and show a bit of personality.

“We went out early and we knew we needed to score with the next chance we had. Dom did that for us and we had so much momentum from that point.

“We knew we had a chance and we took as many as we could to get the win.”
