CHERRIES boss Andoni Iraola felt his side should have had another penalty during the 2-2 draw with Sheffield United, bemoaning that nothing went his side’s way.

The bad luck concentrated on Dominic Solanke, who missed a penalty and had a goal controversially ruled out for handball.

Sheffield United led 2-0 through goals from Gustavo Hamer and Jack Robinson, with Cherries’ prospects looking bleak until Dango Ouattara and Enes Unal produced goals off the bench.

Iraola highlighted two incidents inside the Sheffield United box that he felt merited further penalties for his side.

In the second half, Justin Kluivert had his heels clipped whilst dribbling out of the box, whilst Iraola also felt that Solanke had been impeded illegally when he was hauled down inside the area.

Asked if he felt that it was going to be Cherries’ day, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “Obviously it hasn't been our best day in this kind of situations, also the second balls.

“There is a rebound in the second goals. Lewis (Cook) is marking well their player, and we concede from a corner.

“The disallowed goal. And you think today nothing goes to our side.

“These situations, I think we could have another penalty in the second half.

“I think we had two very, very clear.

“The Justin (Kluivert) one I think is quite soft, but we've been called these kind of penalties, but especially the last one from Lewis Cook cross to Dom they grab him with two hands when the ball is going to him.

“For me we should have another penalty. But we fought until the end.

“We scored the two goals and we had chances to score a third one.”

Cherries remain in 13th in the Premier table, with 32 points from 27 fixtures.

They return to action in just four days’ time, when they welcome Luton Town to Dean Court on Wednesday, March 13 (7.30pm).
