DEFENDER Hannes Delcroix insists Burnley “have made steps as a team” since their defeat to Cherries earlier this season.

Andoni Iraola collected his first Premier League win as a manager in October, goals from Antoine Semenyo and Philip Billing cancelling out Charlie Taylor’s opener at Vitality Stadium.

Since that 2-1 loss, the Clarets have won just two of their 18 matches and are 19th in the table, 11 points adrift of safety and 15 behind Cherries.

Speaking ahead of Cherries’ trip to Turf Moor on Sunday (1pm), Delcroix told Burnley’s official website: “It’s not easy if you look at where we are in the ranking at the moment.

“I think like all the other games, at the moment every game is not easy, so we just need to be focussed during the whole game.

“We know how important the games are for us at the moment. I have a great feeling personally; I think the team can do something.

“I think since the last time we played Bournemouth we have made steps as a team, as a collective.

“We are able to get results and we know we have to start.

“We know what we need to do. At training we will have a plan as well so I hope we will have some results.”
