CHERRIES boss Andoni Iraola is hoping that the side can give the Vitality Stadium crowd something to shout about when they face Manchester City tomorrow evening (5.30pm).

The reigning champions will be in town under the Dean Court lights as Cherries hunt for a first Premier League win of 2024.

And Basque boss Iraola said he loves “night games” as he anticipates a lively crowd for the encounter.

Discussing the game, Iraola shared: “I think it's going to be a good atmosphere. I love to play night games.

“At home I think we need to improve because I think we've been better in our away games.

“I think we need to improve our form at home especially.

“I'm sure we're going to have a good atmosphere.

“Now it's our turn to give a good start of the game and keep everyone involved.”

The fixture also marks the first time Cherries supporters can make use of the new safe standing section designated in the corner of the North Stand.

Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I think it helps. We will experience it tomorrow.

“I think that anything that gives the players especially this help, this support, is welcomed by me at least.”
