CHERRIES forward Antoine Semenyo stated his side will look to give Manchester City “havoc” when they welcome the reigning Premier League champions to Vitality Stadium, saying his team are “ready to be brave”.

Pep Guardiola’s City visit the south coast tomorrow evening (5.30pm) with Cherries hoping to record their first ever league win over the Cityzens.

Cherries' best result against City is merely a draw on two occasions, having lost 17 out of 19 league meetings.

Semenyo came off the bench during the 6-1 drubbing Manchester City inflicted upon Cherries in the return fixture, but feels confident that his side can get something out of the title challengers if they are "brave".

Speaking about the game, Semenyo told the Daily Echo: “I mean, it's always a tough game.

“But we're ready to embrace it. Ready to be brave, press them, give them havoc and hopefully get a result.

“We'll always sit down and look at it.

“I mean we'll definitely go through it in the week, pay attention to detail really.

“Hopefully we get it right, and like I said, cause some problems.”

Semenyo heads into the weekend on the high of recording his first Premier League goal since November, with the Ghanaian international confident he has given his head coach food for thought with his performance against Newcastle last time out.

He continued: “There's a lot of competition, so you know you have to do as much as you can when you start to impress the manager and stay in the team.

"So I’m glad I've done that - onto next week."

Semenyo has four goals in 20 Premier League appearances this term for Cherries, his availabilty briefly stifled by competing in the Africa Cup of Nations with Ghana during January and February.
