FORMER Cherries star Max Gradel helped hosts Ivory Coast to victory against Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations final.
Gradel, who has more than 100 international caps, started for the Elephants and played 70 minutes of the 2-1 victory.
Ivory Coast, who sacked boss Jean-Louis Gasset midway through the tournament as they scraped through the group stage, trailed at half-time of the final to a goal from former Watford man William Troost-Ekong.
But caretaker boss Emerse Fae rallied the troops at the break, goals from Franck Kessie and ex-West Ham United striker Sebastien Haller turning the game around.
It is the second time Gradel has won the trophy, also featuring for his nation in the 2015 event.
Gradel, 36, now plays his club football in Turkey with Gaziantep.
The winger made 65 appearances for Cherries across two spells earlier in his career, scoring 12 goals.
