ENES Unal has arrived in Bournemouth, after the completion of his visa process.

Unal was signed on transfer deadline day, last week, from Spanish club Getafe.

The Turkey international will initially join Cherries on loan, with the move set to turn permanent for around £14million in the summer.

Unal missed Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest as he awaited his visa to be processed.

But the 26-year-old has now flown into the UK from Madrid and joined up with his new teammates.

The striker, who returned from a serious knee injury last month, took part in training yesterday and is set to be in the matchday squad for Saturday’s Premier League clash at Fulham.

Unal’s squad number has also been confirmed.

The former Manchester City youngster will wear the number 26 shirt, recently vacated by Gavin Kilkenny, after his loan departure to Fleetwood Town.

Other recent incumbents of the number 26 include Lloyd Kelly, Tyrone Mings, Mathieu Baudry and Richard Hughes.

Bournemouth Echo: Enes Unal has arrived in Bournemouth

Discussing what Unal will bring to the team, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I think it is going to be a good addition.

“It is someone probably different from Dom (Solanke) especially. He is a proven goalscorer in La Liga. He has been successful there.

“It is true he comes from an ACL, but he has already played some games with Getafe and I am sure he will help us straightaway.

“I also think his mentality and his physicality adapts really well to the Premier League.

“He also speaks the language, he has had some experience in Manchester City when he was younger and all these things I think will help him in this adaptation process that for sure he will have.”
