RYAN Christie feels new addition Romain Faivre will “play his part” in the coming months, insisting the Frenchman has “hit the floor running” since his arrival.

Faivre, signed by Cherries last summer, was set to join his new club at the end of the season, after a loan at FC Lorient.

But Cherries last month opted to cut short that temporary move, bringing Faivre into the group early.

The 25-year-old then made his debut just a couple of days later, coming on in the closing stages of last week’s 1-1 draw at West Ham United.

The midfielder was then an unused substitute for the home stalemate with Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Asked for his early impressions of Faivre, Christie told the Daily Echo: “He’s hit the floor running with training and stuff. He looks good.

“Another good player, another good option to have in the squad.

“I’m sure he’ll play his part between now and the end of the season.”
