CHERRIES have no injury concerns for Ryan Christie or Antoine Semenyo after the pair were subbed off during Cherries’ draw with Nottingham Forest, according to head coach Andoni Iraola.

The duo were substituted in the second half of Cherries’ 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, Semenyo replaced during the break by Marcus Tavernier before Christie came off for Billing 10 minutes into the half.

Christie was visibly limping after a challenge in the first half, whilst Semenyo ended the first 45 minutes in a heap on two occasions.

Iraola told the Daily Echo: “It’s a dead leg, I would say.

“It's not something very big, but it's true that he wanted to continue.

“But we could see probably that he wasn't 100 per cent.

“We decided to put fresher legs on because we could feel the difference, that was the reason we made the sub so early.

“They had rested two more days, we arrived very late here Thursday night.

“We could feel that some players were not fresh.”

Asked for an update on Semenyo, Iraola continued: “No injury. It was a technical decision. He could have continued.”

Cherries return to action on Saturday, February 10 when they travel to Fulham.
