NOTTINGHAM Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo stated his side have “problems, always problems” when it came to player availability ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Cherries.

Forest visit Vitality Stadium on Sunday, February 4 for their second clash of the season with Cherries, having lost the return fixture at City Ground 3-2 back in December.

That defeat to Cherries was Nuno’s first game in charge at Forest, with the club making three signings in the January transfer window.

Goalkeeper Matz Sels arrived on deadline day but may not have a visa in time to play on Sunday, whilst winger Giovanni Reyna and striker Rodrigo Ribeiro also joined in the final days of the winter window.

In terms of player availability, Forest have Senegal defender Moussa Niakhate back from the Africa Cup of Nations, but Cheikhou Kouyate will arrive later due to the recent death of his father.

Chris Wood is unlikely to be fit with a hamstring injury while Ibrahim Sangare and Ola Aina are still away in Africa.

Nuno shared: “We have problems, always problems.

“Let’s wait and see, it was a very hard period of games before based on the same players always, with not being able to rotate or rest so it is normal some issues come along but we still have to wait and see.

“Moussa (Niakhate) returned today, he looks OK, (Friday) was a normal day for him, (today) he starts training.

“Cheikh (Kouyate) had permission to stay one more day, because of the passing of his father so we allowed him to settle down and stay with his family.”
