STRIKER Enes Unal has completed a deadline-day move to Cherries from Getafe.

The 26-year-old arrives on an initial loan deal, which is set to turn permanent in the summer, for a fee of around £14million.

Turkey international Unal has 32 caps for his country and has recently returned from a cruciate knee ligament injury, suffered in May 2023.

Cherries' chief executive Neill Blake said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Enes to the club and believe he’ll add strength to our front line.

“He’s proven that he can score goals in multiple different countries, and we believe he’s got the skillset to succeed in the Premier League.”

Unal began his career at his local club, Bursaspor, progressing up from their youth system into their first team.

A move to Manchester City then came calling in 2015, but the teenager was unable to work his way into the senior set-up.

During his time as a City player, Unal took in loan spells in Belgium and the Netherlands, with Genk, NAC Breda and FC Twente.

A permanent switch to Villarreal followed in 2017, where he was again loaned out, this time Levante. During that spell he played alongside Jefferson Lerma.

A two-year spell at Real Valladolid on loan followed, before signing for Getafe in 2020.

Since, Unal has played 109 times for Getafe, scoring 36 goals. He also went to Euro 2020 with Turkey.

Now he is set to get a Premier League chance, arriving to provide competition to Dominic Solanke, with Kieffer Moore having left on loan today to join Ipswich Town.
