IN-FORM striker Daniel Adu-Adjei could leave Cherries on loan this week.

The 18-year-old bagged a brace in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Charlton Athletic in the Premier League Cup, taking his tally for the development squad to 13 goals in his last 10 appearances.

In that time, Adu-Adjei also made his senior debut, coming off the bench in the 3-2 win at Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup earlier this month.

But the talented teenager was left out of Cherries’ squad to face Millwall in the Professional Development League in Wimborne this afternoon.

Asked why Adu-Adjei, who was watching on at New Cuthbury, was not involved in the game, development squad boss Alan Connell told the Daily Echo: “With Daniel, there’s the possibility of a loan.

“But that’s all it is at this stage.”

Adu-Adjei’s replacement in the team, Jonny Stuttle, scored twice but could not prevent Cherries from losing 3-2 to Millwall and falling off top spot of the southern division.

Fellow development squad regular Nathan Moriah-Welsh left the club last week, to join Hibernian on a permanent deal.

The transfer window for professional English clubs closes at 11pm on Thursday.

Cherries development squad return to action against Norwich City, again at New Cuthbury, on Saturday (12pm).
