CHERRIES youngster Dominic Sadi came in for praise from head coach Andoni Iraola, who stated that the midfielder had been helping the first team all season.

Sadi came off the bench during Cherries’ 5-0 rout of Swansea City in the FA Cup on Thursday, making just his third senior appearance following his debut in the EFL Cup away at Norwich last season.

The appearance followed a stunning display for the development squad, Sadi scoring twice in a 5-1 win over Wolves on Tuesday.

Iraola shared: “I think Dom Sadi has helped us during all the season. He was with us even from Marbella in the pre-season.

“He played some friendly games. He's been playing really well for the development squad. He scored two goals the other day.

“He's been good in the in the trainings and I'm happy that he made his (FA Cup) debut.

“I think he will never forget this day.”

There was also a mention for Gavin Kilkenny, who also came off the bench for his first minutes under Iraola.

“Also Gavin Kilkenny, he had (his) first minute of the season.

“I think someone that trains really well - very difficult every time, the decision to leave him out, and I think he deserved this minutes and I think he has done also really well for me.”
