SWANSEA City are without a host of players due to injury for their FA Cup trip to Cherries tomorrow.

Jamal Lowe, on loan from Cherries at the Swans, would have been ineligible to face his parent club, but is also set for a spell out of action due to a knee injury.

The striker, who has netted six goals in 23 appearances this season, was forced off during Swansea’s 3-1 defeat to Southampton in the Championship on Saturday.

“We hoped it wouldn’t be that serious and it’s not,” said boss Luke Williams.

“He hyperextended his knee, which for a normal person would be a massive problem.

“But he’s very well put together. I watched it back in slow motion, which I should never have done, because then I didn’t sleep!

“Jamal is a really good athlete and he managed to survive.

“Still a few more weeks (out), but this could’ve been six months. He’s like elastic, so that’s good.”

Williams also confirmed five other players who will not be ready for the trip to Vitality Stadium.

He said: “We have a few not available - Jamal, Ben Cabango, Sam Parker, (Josh) Key, (Liam) Walsh and (Azeem) Abdulai.”

Experienced winger Yannick Bolasie is available to feature, ahead of his short-term contract expiring later this week.

Cherries beat Swansea 3-2 in the Carabao Cup in August, goals from David Brooks, Hamed Traore and Ryan Christie cancelling out strikes from Matt Grimes and Jamie Paterson.
