CHERRIES boss Andoni Iraola says his side must adapt to low numbers of available players, believing that all Premier League teams are in the “same situation”.

Liverpool inflicted a 4-0 defeat on Cherries at Vitality Stadium, but arguably the biggest loss of the weekend was Max Aarons, who pulled up late on with a hamstring injury.

Aarons joins a long list of defensive injuries for Cherries, with Iraola’s options also limited by the absences of Antoine Semenyo and Dango Ouattara at the Africa Cup of Nations.

But rather than complain, Iraola stated that his side must find a way to overcome the situation, believing all teams to be in the same boat.

Iraola shared: “I think almost all the teams, we are in the same situation now, losing a lot of players with the injuries.

“It's obvious that December is a really, really busy schedule now.

“Also with the Africa Cup (of Nations), you know, you lose two or three players that are key for every team.

“Liverpool also were really thin - very quality players - but they were missing some important players also.

“It's something that we have to adapt.

“That's the reason why top teams now they are starting to get 29, 30 players in the squads because we can see that everyone is suffering with these injuries.”
