POOLE Town and Cherries have both been impacted by freezing temperatures across the south, with games postponed this evening.
Poole were due back in action at BlackGold Stadium, hosting Winchester City in Southern Premier South.
However, the game will not go ahead as planned.
A statement from the club at 2.39pm read: “Despite covers being placed over the shadowed area, and those areas appearing to have held up OK, we arranged an inspection.
“Due to the deep overnight frost, too much of the pitch remains hard, with little chance of it thawing sufficiently to allow the game to go ahead.”
Meanwhile, Cherries’ development squad were set to travel to Folland Sports in the Hampshire Senior Cup.
But Alan Connell’s men will have to wait, with the pitch at the Arrow Arena deemed unplayable.
