DANIEL Adu-Adjei capped a memorable few days with the winning goal for Cherries in their development squad fixture at Bristol City.

The striker came off the bench for the first team to make his senior debut in the FA Cup win at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

And three days later, the 18-year-old was back among the goals for Alan Connell’s side, earning Cherries a 1-0 win against the Robins.

Competing for the first time in over a month due to the winter break, Cherries’ side showed two changes for the Professional Development League fixture from that which lost to Ipswich Town at Vitality Stadium last time out.

Nathan Moriah-Welsh replaced first-teamer Emiliano Marcondes, while Kian Tydeman was preferred to Balraj Landa. Baylin Johnson was on the bench, having returned from his Lecce loan spell.

Cherries, who were unbeaten in 12 games prior to the Ipswich loss, had Cameron Plain to thank for the scores being level at half-time, the goalkeeper denying Sam Pearson one-on-one.

Finn Tonks then came close to putting Cherries in front, before Adu-Adjei broke the deadlock on 80 minutes.

A late save from Plain then denied Kai Churchley, as Cherries moved level on points with league leaders QPR.

Connell’s side are next due to host Cardiff City at New Cuthbury on Friday (1pm).
