ANDONI Iraola joked that he hoped Cherries do not have to wait another 20 months for a penalty after finally being awarded a spot-kick during their 3-0 win over Fulham.
Antoine Semenyo was felled inside the area whilst Cherries led Fulham 1-0, Dominic Solanke converting the penalty before Luis Sinisterra made sure of the result late on.
Cherries had to wait 609 days and 58 matches between penalties, their last spot-kick awarded in the 3-3 draw away at Swansea City in the Championship back in April 2022, another penalty successfully converted by Solanke.
Iraola told the Daily Echo: “For sure we have spoken a lot of times about that.
“We could also even have a second one shortly after, but I hope we don’t have to wait another I don’t know how many games until we get the next one.”
