CHERRIES boss Andoni Iraola says Darren Randolph “feels well” after a worrying medical incident at Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper was set to get some game-time for the development squad, in a fixture against Ipswich Town.

However, he played no part in the contest after going down during the warm-up and requiring medical assistance, before being stretchered off.

Development squad boss Alan Connell confirmed post-match Randolph had left the stadium “of his own accord” later that evening.

Asked if there was any update on the Republic of Ireland international, Iraola told the Daily Echo on Wednesday night: “Now he feels well.

“He has to do obviously some assessments and checks, and we will analyse and they will decide what they do.

“But right now, he is well.”

Randolph, who joined Cherries from West Ham United in January 2023 on a deal until the summer of 2024, is yet to make a competitive appearance for the club.

Neto has established himself as first-choice keeper, while Randolph has been training alongside fellow backup stoppers Mark Travers and Andrei Radu.

Randolph has made more than 450 career appearances, the most coming during spells with Motherwell and Middlesbrough.
