CHERRIES boss Andoni Iraola says he has an idea of his best XI, just as any manager does, but stressed “it never happens” due to injuries and suspensions.
This season Iraola is yet to name the same 11 for consecutive games, making at least one change between all 15 fixtures so far this term.
The same starting XI faced Brighton and Arsenal in the Premier League, but there were changes for the EFL Cup tie with Stoke City sandwiched in between.
So far Cherries have used 26 different players this campaign, with numerous injuries impacting Iraola’s plans.
Asked if he knew his ideal starting side, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “All the managers, we have our idea if everything is perfect, no injuries, everyone is 100 per cent fit.
“You have your idea.
"And I would say, ‘I'm sure I would put these nine, 10 players and then depending on their position, I would change this one, two.’
“But it never happens, it never happens.
“There is always something – injuries, one player is not fully fit, he's not in his best moment.
“So you have to go changing, taking the best decisions.
“But it's always like this, in other teams.”
