ANDONI Iraola says it is too soon to be sure, but is hopeful Alex Scott’s latest knee injury is “minor” after he was forced off at Manchester City.
Late in the first half, the 20-year-old went into a challenge with City midfielder Rodri and came off worse.
Scott hobbled off and was replaced by Joe Rothwell, as Cherries lost 6-1 at the Etihad.
The midfielder missed the start of this season due to a knee injury, with initial fears he could be set for another spell on the sidelines.
Discussing the injury, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “It is the other knee. It is something inside the knee.
“I cannot say anything before we do all the checks. Let’s hope it is something minor, not like the previous injury.
“It is another type of injury to a different part of the knee, in the other knee. It has nothing to do with the other injury.
“I have just talked to him. I think he has the hopes for it to be a minor injury.
“I think now he doesn’t feel like it can be as bad.
“But before we do every check and the doctors see everything, we can’t say more.”
