ANDONI Iraola stated that he is not concerned about his future as Cherries head coach – insisting that his full focus was on turning around the club’s fortunes.

2-1 defeat inflicted by predecessor Gary O’Neil’s Wolves side at Vitality Stadium stretched Cherries’ winless start to the Premier League campaign to nine matches, the longest period without a win to begin a season since Cherries entered the Football League.

Appointed on a two-year deal in the summer on the same day O’Neil was sacked, Iraola has found two wins in the EFL Cup, but has already tasted defeated six times in league competition.

With just three points to their name, Cherries sit in second-last, with only bottom side Sheffield United also without a win in the Premier League so far this term.

Asked if he was concerned about his future, the Basque boss responded: “I'm not. “Nobody should be concerned about it all.

“I'm concerned about AFC Bournemouth winning games and I'm sure that supporters, they shouldn't care about me.

“They care about their team winning games. It's like this and it has to be like this.”

Asked if he had discussed his future with the board, Iraola responded: “I haven’t talked (to the board), but it’s not a matter of me or my situation.

“It’s a matter of how can we solve this, the best way?”

Probed if he was worried by Cherries’ form, Iraola continued: “Especially whenever you are in the relegation spots.

“We have to be worried. I’m the first one to be worried.

“Now it's a matter of finding ways to win.

“I think we prepared very well this game.

“We were working with not all the players, but I think we had the plan more or less quite clear.

“But it's not enough with the things we are doing.”
