CHERRIES are “working on a documentary” which is set to feature Hollywood actor Michael B Jordan.

That is according to chairman Bill Foley, who purchased Cherries last year, with Jordan on board as a minority shareholder.

Jordan, star of Creed, visited Vitality Stadium last season with Foley, to watch a Premier League match against Crystal Palace.

Sports documentaries have become very popular in recent years, notably with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Newcastle United among those offering behind-closed-doors looks at their clubs, in shows streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

Foley has previously hinted at using Jordan as a way to further market Cherries abroad, also mentioning “skits” in the pipeline involving first-team players.

Asked about Jordan’s involvement at Cherries, in a wide-ranging interview with Men in Blazers podcast, American Foley said: “MBJ is a solid guy. He’s very down to earth.

“He’s a common guy.

“I thought he can help us market, he can be involved in our international marketing plans and the projects we have underway. He’s been fantastic.

“We’re working on a documentary right now that he’ll be involved with, which will be a lot of fun.

“We’re in the middle of that, we’re finishing the sizzle reel and it’s going to be the story of the little guy, who actually is successful against all odds.

“It should be several seasons, because I feel like we’re going to be moving up in the table, not down in the table.”

Asked if Jordan will be using his Hollywood acting skills, Foley said: “It’s a documentary, so I think he’ll be playing himself!”
