CHERRIES have confirmed that long-serving medical director Dr. Craig Roberts will depart the club in December.
Roberts arrived at Cherries in 2015 following over a decade and a half working in Rugby Union, starting in his native South Africa with the Sharks as team physician before being appointed as team doctor by the Springboks national team.
AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said: "I'd like to thank Doc for everything he has given us over the years. We’re very grateful for what he has helped us achieve on the field, and we’ll miss having his personality around the training ground.
“I speak for everybody at the club when I wish him well in the next chapter of his career.”
In the summer, Cherries confirmed the arrival of American Jay Mellette as director of performance, the role described as overseeing “all player medical and performance management services”.
