KYRAN Samadi’s stunning strike sealed victory for Poole Town over Sholing in the FA Trophy.

Dave Diaper’s Boatmen took an early lead through Dan Mason, but Dolphins led by half-time through goals from Toby Holmes and Wes Fogden.

Substitute Samadi then sealed a 3-1 win, smashing into the top corner from long range with 10 minutes to play.

Poole now progress into the first round proper of the competition.

Matt Tubbs’s men fell behind at BlackGold Stadium when Mason turned in after Poole failed to deal with an early corner.

Sholing missed a chance to double their lead, before Dolphins came to life in the closing stages of the half.

Holmes skipped around goalkeeper Ryan Gosney to equalise, before Fogden used his strength to hold off a defender and poke home after being found by Harry Hutchinson.

Gosney was called into some good stops to keep his side in it, before Poole’s crossbar was rattled.

The win was sealed when Samadi let fly, as Dolphins got back to winning ways, following their FA Cup defeat last time out.

Dolphins: Evans, Rose, Whisken, Wright, Hutchinson, Ojo (Pardoe, 77), Murray, Fogden (Bertrand, 86), Nippard (Samadi, 57), Holmes, Lee.
