DORCHESTER Town have allowed centre-back Jack Wright to join Hamworthy United.

Wright leaves with an immediate recall option inserted into the smallprint of his deal.

Wright linked up with the Magpies this summer having been a long-term target, impressing with his performances for Dorset neighbours Bridport.

Both parties hope Wright, who has scored two goals in nine appearances for the Magpies, will earn more game time at the Southern League Division One South side.

Speaking when the deal was agreed last week, then manager Glenn Howes said: "With the recruitment of JD (Jack Dickson) and Will (Spetch), along with the capabilities of Ieuan (Turner) and Jordi (Foot), we currently possess very good cover in this area of the team.

"At Jack's age it’s crucial he continues to play, learn and develop in order to progress his career so it’s mutually agreed this will continue with Hamworthy United and in the long run this should benefit all three parties."

Wright could make his debut this weekend, when Hamworthy welcome Bashley to the Bob Lucas Stadium on Saturday, October 7 (kick-off 3pm).

Hammers hope that the fixture will be their last at their temporary home in Weymouth, with work at their County Ground base underway following the demolition of the derelict stand.
