BALRAJ Landa and Dominic Sadi both bagged braces as Cherries’ development squad eased past Moneyfields in the Hampshire Senior Cup.

Jack Wadham was also on target as Alan Connell’s side secured a 5-0 victory in the game held at AFC Portchester.

Wessex Premier outfit Moneyfields have been in fine form this season, but were no match for Cherries.

Michael Dacosta Gonzalez and Sadi had early efforts, before Landa, who signed a professional contract this summer, got his first goal for the season.

Former Eastleigh man Landa struck again before half-time with Cherries in control.

Wadham added a third 10 minutes after the restart, with Sadi scoring twice to seal the win.

The draw for the third round is due to take place later this week.

Speaking to Cherries’ website after the victory, boss Connell said: “I thought we were professional from start to finish.

“We scored quite early. That settled us down and gave us a confidence boost.

“From there on, we were clinical.”

Discussing scorers Landa and Sadi, Connell added: “We know he (Landa) has got quality, but he’s taken a little time to adjust.

“I’m really pleased for him with his contribution and two goals.

“Dom is getting better every game. Every time he was on the ball, you felt like something positive was going to happen.”
