CHERRIES have confirmed the loan signing of Colombian international Luis Sinisterra from Leeds United.

Winger Jaidon Anthony has moved in the opposite direction, completing a temporary switch to Leeds for the 2023-24 campaign.

There is no provision in Anthony's deal for Leeds to make the move permanent, but Cherries have a 'potential option' in their agreement for Sinisterra.

A deal sheet was required in order to get the moves over the line following the passing of the deadline.

Anthony signed a five-year deal back in February, but it has been deemed that a year of regular game time in the Championship will be more beneficial for his development.

The deal marks Cherries' ninth signing of the summer, and their fifth departure on loan.

Sinisterra joined the Whites from Dutch side Feyenoord last summer, where he was teammates with current Cherries defender Marcos Senesi.

This term he made four appearances for the Whites, having been left out of games and first-team training over a legal dispute regarding his contract.

The winger completed a medical in London earlier today but will be unavailable for Cherries’ trip to Brentford this afternoon (3pm).

It is the second signing Cherries have made from Leeds this summer, having already secured the signature of Tyler Adams from the Yorkshire club.

Sinisterra will be on international duty next week, having been selected by Colombia alongside former Cherry Jefferson Lerma for World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Chile.

In total, Sinisterra has been capped seven times by his country, scoring on three occasions.
