CHERRIES have turned down a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for Lloyd Kelly, the Daily Echo understands.

The 24-year-old has reportedly been subject to a £20million offer from Spurs, with Cherries said to be reluctant to let him leave so close to the end of the transfer window.

Kelly has less than a year left on his contract at Vitality Stadium, having arrived from Bristol City for £13million in the summer of 2019.

Formerly the club’s captain, Kelly has made 119 appearances for Cherries, starting each of their past two fixtures.

It has been reported Spurs were willing to offer Cherries Eric Dier as part of the deal to get Kelly to north London.

The transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.
