CHERRIES have reportedly made a bid that matches the release clause of Leeds United’s Tyler Adams.

Sky Sports claim that Cherries have made an offer of £20million which has been automatically accepted by Championship side Leeds due to their relegation from the Premier League last term.

USA international Adams had been on the verge of a move to Chelsea last week, only for the London club to pull the plug on the move as they closed in on other targets.

Adams is currently sidelined by a hamstring injury that required surgery, and is currently slated to return after the September international break.

That apparently alerted Premier League clubs to the availability of the 24-year-old, with Cherries following up their interest with a reported bid.

The American made 24 appearances in the Premier League last term, with his injury in March coinciding with a downturn in Leeds’ form.

Leeds reported paid RB Leipzig £20million for his services last summer.

He has also made 75 appearances in the German top flight, as well as playing 14 times in the Champions League.

Part of the US team that went to the World Cup in Qatar, Adams has been 36 times by his country.
