DANGO Ouattara and Lewis Cook missed this afternoon’s draw against West Ham United due to injury, boss Andoni Iraola confirmed.
The pair picked up knocks during the club’s final pre-season friendly against FC Lorient last weekend.
Cook played the majority of that 2-0 win, while Ouattara completed the contest.
Discussing the pair’s absence, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “Against Lorient we had injuries from Dango and Lew. That is the reason that we couldn’t put them in today.
“I think Dango will be out for some weeks, because he had an ankle injury. Right now I think he will be out for some games.
“I think Lew is more day-to-day. Let’s see the evolution. He had some issue in the hips and we’ll see how he evolves.
“I don’t know if he’s going to be fit for the next game, but it shouldn’t take as long as Dango’s injury.”
