ANDONI Iraola praised Milos Kerkez’s “mentality to improve”, believing the teenager is “ready to play straightaway” for Cherries.
The 19-year-old completed his switch from AZ Alkmaar last week and impressed during Tuesday night’s 3-2 pre-season win at Southampton.
Despite his tender age, the left-back arrives with plenty of experience, both in club football, reaching the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League last season, and also internationally with Hungary.
Discussing his new left-back, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I think even if he is very young, he is ready to play straightaway, because he has already played at a high level.
“He played tough European games in the past season and also his mentality to improve is very good.
“I think he is conscious that he has very good things, but he has to improve in other areas. We will try to help him.”
