FORMER Cherries assistant coach Matt Wells has joined his third different club of the season.

Wells was part of Scott Parker’s coaching staff, helping the club clinch promotion to the Premier League last year.

The 34-year-old also previously worked with Parker in Tottenham Hotspur’s academy and then Fulham, another club they helped out of the Championship and into the top tier.

Wells began this campaign alongside Parker at Cherries, but left in August following the 9-0 loss at Anfield.

Parker was hired by Belgian side Club Brugge in December, taking Wells with him again as part of his team.

But things quickly unravelled, Parker dismissed for the second time this season, after winning just two of 12 matches come March.

Now Wells is back in work.

The former Spurs academy player is back at his former club, as part of new acting head coach Ryan Mason’s staff.

Mason has stepped up to take the top job after Cristian Stellini’s departure, following Tottenham’s embarrassing 6-1 defeat at Newcastle United on Sunday.

Stellini had been acting head coach since Antonio Conte was sacked in late March.

Wells takes the role of acting assistant head coach, working alongside Nigel Gibbs, Perry Suckling and Gianni Vio.

Spurs have six matches left this season and are still hoping to secure a top-four finish.
