THE DORSET County FA have confirmed the rearranged date for the Dorset Senior Cup between Poole Town and Weymouth.

Poole Town had been set to host National South strugglers Weymouth at the BlackGold Stadium on Wednesday, March 8, before the Dorset CFA postponed the fixture, citing “adverse weather conditions” for traveling players and officials despite the pitch at Tatnam Farm being playable.

Dolphins will now welcome Weymouth on Tuesday, March 28, kick-off 7.45pm.

Confirming the new date, the Dorset CFA tweeted: “Following a written confirmation from the secretary of Weymouth FC that his club could not fulfil the above fixture due to being unable to raise a team, citing weather conditions outside the county as the reason, the Dorset County FA had no option to postpone the game.

“The Dorset Senior Cup final has now been redated for Tuesday, March 28 2023 at the BlackGold Stadium, Poole, kick-off 7.45pm.

“Both clubs have been informed of the new date.”
