DEFENDER Jack Stephens believes his side can learn from their encounter with Manchester City ahead of their trip to Arsenal this weekend.

Cherries were well beaten by the reigning champions last time out, City 4-1 winners.

League leaders Arsenal currently employ a similar style to Pep Guardiola’s at the Etihad, with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta a former assistant to the Catalan.

Speaking in the wake of the defeat to Manchester City, Stephens shared: “Every week there's a different challenge.

“Obviously Arsenal quite similar in the way they play to Man City.

“So, hopefully we can use a lot of the stuff that we've learned (against City) next week, and hopefully the result will be a little bit more positive.

Stephens is currently enjoying his longest spell as a starter at the Vitality Stadium.

On loan from south coast rivals Southampton, the defender has started Cherries’ past three games – having had two starts all season prior to the trip to Wolves.

Stephens shared: “I'm enjoying being in the team. I'm enjoying trying to help the team.

“Obviously, days like (against City) are tough because you want a positive result every week. But yes, obviously it didn't come.

“But we have to dust ourselves off. We have a big test next week.”
