CHERRIES have loaned young striker Daniel Adu-Adjei to Southern League Premier South neighbours Poole Town.

Adu-Adjei played a pivotal role in Cherries’ under-18s EFL Youth Alliance South West division title win, building upon a 2021-22 campaign that saw him notch 25 goals.

He will spend the rest of the current campaign on loan at the BlackGold Stadium, with a possibility of making his debut this weekend when Poole host Beaconsfield Town.

Converted from a winger to an out-and-out striker, the 18-year-old spent time with London clubs Brentford and Fulham before joining Cherries in March 2021.

Dolphins currently occupy a play-off spot in the seventh tier, with Adu-Adjei drafted into bolster their strike force ahead of a final promotion push.

The loan move will also represent the youngster’s first taste of senior football.
