CHERRIES have been linked with January moves for two Serie A full-backs.

Mail Online report Cherries are still keen to try and complete an ambitious swoop for Germany international left-back Robin Gosens.

The 28-year-old was part of the 2019-20 Serie A team of the year for his efforts at Atalanta, which ultimately earned him a switch to Inter Milan.

Gosens won the Coppa Italia with Inter last year, but has struggled for game-time this season.

He has made 23 appearances for Simone Inzaghi’s side, including six in the Champions League, but only 18 of those games have come as a substitute.

The Mail claim Cherries have already seen one attempt for Gosens knocked back by Inter.

Another left-back linked is Roma’s Matias Vina. The same publication say Cherries have enquired about a loan deal for the 25-year-old.

The Uruguay international has made seven appearances under Jose Mourinho this term, but has not featured in Serie A since October.

Following the summer departure of Leif Davis, Jordan Zemura is Cherries’ only recognised left-back in the squad.

The Zimbabwe international was named man-of-the-match for his efforts against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Lloyd Kelly and Adam Smith have filled in in that role on occasion this season.
