REPORTS from Denmark suggest Emi Marcondes is closing in on a loan switch to former club FC Nordsjaelland.

Danish outlet Bold.dk report that Marcondes is back in Denmark as a deal reaches completion.

They also report that the switch would be a loan move lasting until the end of the campaign.

Cherries midfielder Marcondes arrived at the Vitality Stadium in the summer of 2021, following his release from Brentford after helping the Bees to earn promotion to the Premier League, scoring in the play-off final win over Swansea.

After starting last campaign as a first-team regular, the Dane slowly found his opportunities limited as the season neared its conclusion.

Since promotion to the top flight with Cherries, the 27-year-old has seen even less time on the pitch, playing just eight minutes of Premier League action in a cameo appearance during the record 9-0 defeat to Liverpool.

On the fringes and in want of first-team minutes, Marcondes came out and hinted he was open to a loan move back to his native Denmark in December.

Marcondes began his career at Nordsjaelland, making 120 appearances and scoring 38 times before moving to Brentford in 2017.

In total, the Dane has made 24 appearances for Cherries, scoring on seven occasions.
