BILL Foley is reportedly “close” to taking over Belgian top-flight outfit Sporting Charleroi, having last week seen his purchase of Cherries ratified by the Premier League.
The American businessman last week laid out his plans to purchase both a club in France and Belgium, to begin building his multi-club model, with Cherries as his main asset.
Foley also outlined hopes to add a team in South America to his portfolio later down the line.
And a report from Belgian publication De Standaard claimed the 77-year-old businessman was in “exclusive negotiations” with Charleroi.
The Belgian side, nicknamed The Zebras, are currently 12th in the Belgian Pro League, having picked up 19 points from 16 league games.
Earlier this week, it was reported Foley was also looking to add French club Lorient to his portfolio.
