FIRST-TEAM duo Jack Stephens and Jamal Lowe both featured for Cherries’ development squad in a friendly at Winchester City last night.
The Daily Echo understands the pair each played 45 minutes, as the Southern League Citizens ran out 3-1 winners at the Charters Community Stadium.
While the majority of Cherries’ first-team squad headed away for a warm weather training camp in Dubai, it is understood neither Stephens nor Lowe travelled, for reasons not yet confirmed.
The first team are due to land back in England today, before resuming preparations later this week for the return to action at Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup on December 21.
Other Cherries players who reportedly featured against Winchester include Dominic Sadi, Ben Greenwood and Brooklyn Genesini.
Goals from the hosts came from a Claudio Herbert brace and Dan Jones strike.
Stephens, on loan from Southampton, has made just four Cherries appearances, while striker Lowe has featured only twice this season.
