CHERRIES' hunt for a new head coach has come to an end, with Gary O'Neil installed on a permanent basis following his interim spell in charge of the team.
O'Neil has steered Cherries to 13 points from 11 Premier League games since replacing Scott Parker, who was dismissed back in August.
With Marcelo Bielsa previously linked to the role, there has been plenty of reaction from fans to O'Neil's appointment.
Some quarters are pleased by the news, whilst others are keen to back the new boss despite O'Neil not being their first choice.
A few fans have quickly turned their focus to other matters on the agenda, including transfer business in January, O'Neil's backroom staff, and tying players down to new deals.
So after all that it’s Gary O’Neil? I just hope he’s a very quick learner. #afcb #UTCIAD

I think a reality check is required by some about who they thought we were realistically going to get . I know it would've been nice but big names only go to big clubs . Get the takeover done , see if it grows us in stature, and THEN let's see what happens 🍒 #afcb https://t.co/5g81OsMUe8

Be interesting to see who he tries to buy in January though #afcb

Really hope Elphick stays on the backroom staff. Best captain and leader we've had. His motivation wil be massive #afcb

Slightly underwhelmed at G’ON appointment after being linked with a huge name in Bielsa but he’s probably done enough to earn it. Concerned over his in-game management after throwing away two 2-0 leads but clear the players want to play for him. 18 months is the right call #afcb

Low risk & cheap AFCB appointment. Can’t see many additions in the break. Priorities are to:

1. Appoint back room team urgently
2. Sign JZ, Jaidon, Lerma (unlikely) to new deals; although this is Blake’s fault & less likely to happen now on all 3 counts
3. Avoid relegation#afcb
I’m just grateful it’s still not Parker …. #Afcb
