CHERRIES Women are through to the semi-finals of the Hampshire Senior Cup after dispatching of Moneyfields 2-0 at Long Lane.
Goals from Beth Everson and captain Maisy Smith secured victory for last season’s runners-up.
Boss Steve Cuss told Cherries’ website: “I'm absolutely delighted to be in the next round.
"Obviously, we're in the middle of cup matches at the moment and we've been unfortunate to be knocked out of the other two we were involved in.
"As a result, it was an important game for us. It's always good to go into the new year still in a cup competition as it supplements the league nicely and the performance was good.
"We deservedly won the game."
Cherries return to league action on Sunday, hosting Selsey at Ringwood (2pm).
