A DRAMATIC finish saw Wimborne Town rescue a point with two late goals in a 3-3 draw at home against Slimbridge.

Tim Sills’s side fell behind on 15 minutes at New Cuthbury when a headed clearance found Ethan Dunbar in the inside-right channel and the young, dynamic striker finished well from the edge of the box.

A lacklustre Wimborne looked shell-shocked, but worse was to follow for the hosts 10 minutes later.

Rudi Mckinnon's low cross was met at the far post by Dunbar to double the Swans' advantage.

Sills brought on Dan Bartlett and having lined up a couple of sighter shots - he rifled Oakley Hanger's pass into the net off the post from 20 yards to make it 2-1.

But on 85 minutes, Slimbridge’s Nathan Dennis cleared another Magpies' attack with the ball ballooning over home keeper Shane Murphy on the bounce to give the visitors a 3-1 lead.

Wimborne were not done there, however. With a minute of normal time left, the ball was played to Lewis Beale in the box, he laid it back and Harry Morgan fired past Lewis Adams in the away goal.

And with Wimborne throwing men forward, Ashley Wells advanced down the right and drilled a cross into the box for Harry Baker to rise first and head into the net to send the home fans wild.
