GARY O'Neil says it was no coincidence to see Dominic Solanke causing havoc against Fulham, explaining: "That's why we pressed how we pressed."

Solanke shone as Cherries earned a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage, scoring inside two minutes before providing an assist for Jefferson Lerma.

The one-time England international looked a threat throughout, particularly down the right-hand channel, typified by his run which led to Lerma's goal.

Discussing Solanke's performance, O'Neil said: "Part of the plan was to try and get Dom down this (right) side.

"That’s why we pressed how we pressed, to try and get Dom down this side on transition, down our right.

"I thought he caused Fulham big problems.

"So, lots of aspects that I’m really pleased with."

O'Neil remains unbeaten in his six games in interim charge.

Cherries host Southampton on Wednesday (7.30pm).
