EYE-CATCHING goals from Wes Fogden and Jack Dickson fired Poole Town to a third straight victory in the Southern Premier.

On the back of wins over Yate Town and Gosport Borough, Tom Killick took his side to Beaconsfield Town and came away with a 2-0 success.

The deadlock was broken in spectacular fashion as former Cherries winger Fogden controlled a high ball on his chest before unleashing an incredible 35-yard volley over goalkeeper Ravan Constable.

It marked the third game in succession in which Fogden has found the net.

Poole, who were without striker Toby Holmes, should have doubled their lead before half-time. Tony Lee had the chance from the penalty spot having been brought down, but his powerful effort was well saved.

And Dolphins had to wait until the dying seconds to secure victory. Full-back Dickson collected the ball on the right just inside his own half and embarked on a mazy solo run, before slamming high into the net, left-footed, from 10 yards.

Poole have now climbed up to fifth in the table, with 16 points from their nine matches.

Their scheduled clash against Plymouth Parkway on Tuesday night has been postponed, due to Parkway's continued participation in the FA Cup.

Dolphins: Cairney, Spetch (Rose, 76), Whisken, Olumuyiwa, Dickson, Moore, Pardoe, Fogden, Andrews (Daws, 60), Fletcher (L Holmes, 64), Lee.

Unused subs: Hutchinson, Woods.
