THREE Cherries stars came off the bench for their countries on Tuesday evening.

Ryan Christie replaced former Cherries winger Ryan Fraser in Poland after 72 minutes of action, helping Scotland to a 0-0 draw against Ukraine.

That point was all the Scots needed to secure top spot in their group, and in the process, promotion to the A tier of the Nations League.

Jamal Lowe and Jefferson Lerma were on friendly duty with Jamaica and Colombia respectively.

Already 2-0 down to Argentina when he was swapped in for West Ham striker Michail Antonio, Lowe played three minutes as Jamaica were eventually downed 3-0 by the South American nation.

There was a better result for Colombia and Lerma, with Los Cafeteros defeating Mexico 3-2 in the United States.

Like Lowe, Lerma only played three minutes, coming on to replace match winner Wilmar Barrios in the 87th minute.

Colombia found themselves two goals behind by the half-hour mark, following a sixth minute Alexis Vega penalty and a Gerardo Arteaga strike.

Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra came off the bench at half-time to make an instant impact, scoring twice by the 52nd minute.

Barrios then scored what proved to be the decisive goal in the 68th minute.

Youngster Owen Bevan, currently out on loan at Yeovil, made his debut for Wales’ under-21s off the bench. The centre-back was unable help to turn around the 2-0 deficit when introduced with eight minutes left, with the Welsh losing by that same margin away to Austria.
