CHERRIES will aim to postpone Swansea's promotion party when they take on the League One leaders at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

If the Welsh side win and third-placed Doncaster Rovers lose, their place in the Championship next season will be confirmed.

But Cherries boss Kevin Bond, whose side still have an outside chance of avoiding the drop, is hoping his team can defy the odds against Roberto Martinez's men.

"We've still got to focus on the job we need to do and try to look after ourselves," Bond told the Daily Echo.

"We know it will be a difficult day but we've got to try to keep the creditable performances, which the players have given over the last couple of weeks, going.

"They've got good players all over the pitch. I expect them to go up without a problem and I would expect them to hold their own in the division above.

"They, without a doubt, have been the best side in our league this season."

The struggling Dean Court outfit are set to be boosted by the likely return of former England international Darren Anderton, who caught the eye in yesterday's training session.

And it would be a timely comeback from the ex-Spurs man, with central midfielders Danny Hollands (calf) and Marvin Bartley (knee) both ruled out.

"We welcome him back, especially now because of Marvin and Danny's injuries. We're going to need all the players," said Bond.

"I don't know quite what I'm going to do at the weekend because of what's been thrust upon us, but we'll put a team out to try and give them a problem and make life difficult for them."

Cherries manager Bond thinks his team can surprise Swansea, if they get a bit of luck in tomorrow's clash.

He said: "We're hanging on for our lives to try to get as many points as we can.

"We've still got five games to play and we want to pick up as many points as we can and see where it takes us. We've still got plenty to lose.

"We need to go there knowing the importance of the game, fully respecting Swansea and knowing how difficult it will be, but believing we can cause an upset and give them problems.

"We might need the rub of the green but I truly believe that can happen. We still have everything to play for."

Former Arsenal trainee Ryan Garry, who came through 90 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday, Jo Kuffour and Warren Cummings are all in line to return, while on-loan keeper David Forde should overcome flu to take part.
