CHRISTCHURCH boss Graham Kemp will be a bottle of champagne lighter following Marc Burrows's double strike against AFC Totton.

The experienced frontman reached his pre-season target of 25 goals in all competitions during Priory's 3-2 home defeat against the Sydenhams Premier title favourites on Tuesday.

So Kemp is going to keep a promise he made to the former Brading marksman last summer when he persuaded him to give up BFA Sunday League football and go back up into the Wessex.

Kemp, whose side host Hamble in the league tomorrow (3pm), said: "Marc is a confident lad and said to me at the start of the season if you sign me I will get you 25 goals'.

"He has been on 22-23 for a little while but he has whittled away in the last few weeks and has got them. I will probably give him the champagne after our last game at Hamble on April 19 so hopefully he will open it and I can have some of it!

"Marc has had a good season, has a good attitude and has signed for next season already. He wants to play for Christchurch and is not money orientated."

Priory have James Burden back from illness for their home clash against Hamble tomorrow.
